Steve Vaughn serves as the Senior Vice President of Field Operations for PrePass Safety Alliance and oversees all liaison efforts with state agencies with whom the Alliance partners.
Mr. Vaughn served with the California Highway Patrol from 1980 to 2008. As Chief of the Enforcement Services Division, he was responsible for providing statewide oversight for commercial vehicle regulation, inspection, and enforcement. He also served as the department’s Congressional Liaison to the U.S. Congress and on special assignment with the Federal Highway Administration’s Office of Motor Carriers in Washington, D.C. He served as the President of the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance (CVSA), as well as numerous committee chairmanships with the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators, Intelligent Transportation Society of America, and the California Peace Officers Association.
