Compressed natural gas station opens in Wisconsin

Sept. 18, 2013

Trillium CNG has opened a compressed natural gas (CNG) station in Green Bay, WI. The station is the second in the Brown County area for Trillium, joining a location in De Pere, WI.

The new public-access station is located less than ½ mile from Interstate 43. It has two dispenses capable of accommodating Class 8 tractor-trailers and features Trillium’s hydraulic intensifier for pumping rates up to 10 diesel gas equivalents (DGE) per minute.

Green Bay-based carriers Paper Transport and Contract Transport Services have agreed to become the CNG station’s primary anchors, Trillium said. The station was designed to allow for expansion as the demand for natural gas-powered vehicles in the area grows.

“We continue to expand our CNG station network across the U.S. and are pleased to be providing additional access to CNG and its environmental and economic benefits in the Green Bay area,” said Mary Boettcher, president of Trillium.
