David Abney, chief operating officer of UPS, will deliver a keynote address at ACT Expo, the alternative fuels and clean vehicle technologies show.
This year’s conference will take place June 24-27 in Washington, DC.
Abney is expected to discuss strategies fleets can use in their operations to reduce fuel costs. The UPS fleet utilizes a host of technologies, including propane, compressed natural gas (CNG), hybrid-electric, liquefied natural gas (LNG), all-electric, ethanol, and hydraulic-hybrids. UPS’s clean transportation fleet has logged more than 246 million miles globally.
The ACT Expo 2013 program includes:
- A spotlight on the rapidly expanding AFV infrastructure across North America
- End-user case studies highlighting large scale AFV fleet deployments
- A full look at project economics, including funding and residual values
- A 100,000 sq. ft. expo hall featuring the latest clean transportation products and services for all vehicle weight classes and applications (open to the public on June 26 and 27)
