EVO Trillium opens new CNG fueling station in Wisconsin

April 15, 2014

EVO CNG and its joint venture partner Trillium CNG have opened a new compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station in Oak Creek, WI.

The station’s anchor tenant, Sheehy Mail Contractors, operates 10 Freightliner Cascadia tractors with Cummins-Westport ISX G engines, the companies said, with plans to add more this summer.

The station is open to the public 24 hours a day, seven days a week and features four dispensers and Trillium CNG’s proprietary fast-fill technology. The station has been designed to accommodate Class 8 tractors and trailers, as well as smaller vehicles.

“EVO CNG is extremely excited for the opportunity to work with Sheehy Mail as they move into the clean fuel arena,” said Danny Cuzick, president of EVO CNG.  “We look forward to the future growth of clean natural gas stations providing Sheehy Mail to demonstrate their leadership as they expand their green fleet.  EVO CNG is proud to partner with Trillium CNG in the development of these stations.”

Sheehy Mail Contractors, based in Waterloo, WI, has driven over 700,000 mi. to date with the 12L Cascadias, said president John Sheehy.

“The CNG fleet performed as well as the diesel equipment in these severe conditions,” he said. “Incorporating the clean burning, American sourced natural gas into our fleet is a priority for the U.S. Postal Service, as well as our freight shippers, and we are proud to be a part of the pilot program with EVO CNG in the Milwaukee area. We are looking forward to increasing our CNG fleet this summer and have plans to expand our natural gas fueling needs to Iowa, Illinois and Indiana in the coming months.”
