FMCSA’s top five priorities

FMCSA’s Acting Administrator T.F. Scott Darling released an update of the agency’s plans for the rest of this year.

With only a few months left of 2015, FMCSA’s Acting Administrator T.F. Scott Darling released an update of the agency’s plans for the rest of this year. According to Darling, the agency’s top five priorities are:

  • Safety Fitness Determination

  • Inspection Modernization

  • Unified Registration System

  • Compliance, Safety, Accountability (CSA) Phase III

  • Electronic Logging Devices (ELD)

“Each day, I am privileged to represent this agency and its 1,100 employees nationwide,” Darling said. “Through my ongoing conversations with the FMCSA family, I know we remain committed to saving lives by working toward zero crash fatalities involving large trucks and buses.”
