Banyan Technology announced at the Transportation Intermediaries Association Annual Conference that it has entered into a strategic partnership with McLeod Software. Banyan said it offers the live data source for LTL rates from their LTL carrier partners for McLeod Software’s PowerBrokerLTL products. The combined solution enables the LTL and IT (API) trend among shippers, carriers, third-party logistics (3PLs) and brokers to collaborate and improve operations, according to the company.“With the onset of complex operations within a transportation company and the need of integrated solutions,” said Lance Healy, Banyan Technology president. “The McLeod partnership allows the power of our combined systems to service those companies looking for a single-source to expand their cost control and shipment visibility.”Headquartered in Cleveland, OH, Banyan has developed a cloud-based LiveTMS that is designed to enable shippers, 3PLs and brokers to communicate directly with their own carriers or brokers in collaborative real time.“From a single neutral platform, the application simplifies logistics processes, supports a live reaction to changes in customer orders and shipments resulting in significant cost savings,” the company said. “Banyan enhances McLeod’s automation and analysis of the true freight spend. LiveTMS eliminates daily phone calls, EDI connections and reliance on SMC3 static rating tables.”
