C.R. England outsources fuel management to FuelQuest

Feb. 22, 2013

Temperature-controlled carrier C.R. England has signed a five-year agreement with FuelQuest to outsource its bulk fuel management services through FuelQuest’s Fuel Center.

“Buying bulk fuel is nothing less than challenging in today’s high-priced, volatile market,” said Allen Nielsen, director of fuel at C.R. England. “Daily price swings are common, which places significant strain on our operational budgets and corporate profitability. In choosing FuelQuest Fuel Center, C.R. England now has industry experts working on our behalf to secure consistently the lowest priced fuel available.”

According to FuelQuest, Fuel Center forecasts and sources fuel, acting as a supplier-independent extension of the fleet customer. Fuel Center assumes other critical fuel management activities including order management as well as fuel, freight, and tax charge reconciliation. These capabilities offer customers lower fuel costs and more efficient use of credit, greater predictability of fuel budget, reduced invoice overpayments and administration costs, and increased security of supply, the company said.

Fuel Center also provides management dashboards so customers can monitor the return on investment they are receiving from the service.

“We are excited to be working with an industry leader like C.R. England on sourcing, replenishing, and reconciling their bulk fuel inventory,” said Ryan Mossman, vice president and general manager of FuelQuest Fuel Center. “Our supplier-independent approach to managing fuel has proven time and again to provide the greatest savings for our customers.  It is why transportation companies such as C.R England are turning to FuelQuest to manage their end-to-end bulk fuel management needs and why we continue to lead the market.”
