FTR, Internet Truckstop team up to offer new data-rich solutions

INDIANAPOLIS. FTR and Internet Truckstop announced that they have formed a “strategic industry partnership” here tonight at the outset of FTR’s Annual Transportation Conference.

Executives with the two firms explained that ,by working together, they will produce new business tools that will bring “unprecedented market analysis and specificity for both the contract and spot freight segments by region and by trailer type.”

Specifically, The companies said that the partnership will yield “planning and forecasting products to accomplish four significant benefits for subscribers”:

  • Timely regional data for capacity and demand
  • Access to combined contract and spot market data
  • Simplified planning with advanced analytics on spot market economics
  • Spot market forecasts “for the first time in the industry”

FTR president Eric Starks said that Internet Truckstop is “an ideal partner for this venture” as it can provide “disciplined data” on millions of load transactions that will enable FTR’s research and forecasting team to provide “more focused solutions to the industry.”

“Working together,” said Scott Moscrip, CEO of Internet Truckstop, “we’ll deliver new solutions that connect the expert forecasting and analytical capabilities of FTR with the rich data of Internet Truckstop to provide valuable data tools to help our customers succeed.”
