FTR partners with IANA on Intermodal Expo educational program

April 16, 2014

FTR will coordinate the “Intermodal Environment” educational track at this fall’s Intermodal Association of North America (IANA) Intermodal Expo, to be held in Long Beach, CA, September 21-23.

The Intermodal Environment will be one of four major issue areas to be addressed at the Expo.

Program content will include presentations by FTR transportation experts Larry Gross and Noel Perry, as well as panels featuring senior managers of key intermodal players and well-known analysts covering the intermodal sector.

The goal is to provide attendees with a comprehensive look at the current state of the intermodal industry and the key trends to watch in coming months and years, FTR said.

“We are very excited to be partnering with IANA on this project” said Eric Starks, president of FTR.  “The Intermodal Expo has been the cornerstone event on the intermodal calendar for many years, and we are happy to have a role in its transformation as it enters a new era.  We look forward to sharing our views on the fast-growing intermodal sector with Intermodal Expo attendees and hearing from the many other industry experts that will be in attendance.”

FTR covers the intermodal sector in its publication, Intermodal Update, which provides in-depth analysis and forecasts. Sourced in large measure on IANA data, Intermodal Update features include volumes by equipment type, rate and volume forecasts, length of haul, market share, port statistics and trends, and service levels.
