Logistic Dynamics (LDI), a global logistics provider, has added freight tracking software from MacroPoint. MacroPoint will be enabled across LDI's entire network of more than 55,000 motor carriers.“MacroPoint is the perfect fit for Logistic Dynamics’ TMS, LDi Freight, heavily utilized by our business partners,” said Evan Gaskill, vice president of operations at Logistic Dynamics, Inc. “By enabling Macropoint with LDi Freight, our shippers, business partners and carriers have the ability to capture tracking data, update maps and access load histories in a single portal with seamless functionality on any device, including desktop, laptop and tablet computers and smartphones.”The software will allow Logistic Dynamics to offer shippers real-time location tracking, delivery monitoring, and event notifications.MacroPoint load tracking software provides arrival and departure notification and out-of-route monitoring by tracking the location of a driver’s mobile phone or existing in-cab ELD/GPS devices.“The cost effective MacroPoint load tracking solution will enhance the service Logistic Dynamics provides to its customers,” said Dave Halsema, executive vice president of MacroPoint. “We are pleased they have entered into a long term agreement to enable tracking and to provide shippers with real-time location monitoring.”
