The PrePass weigh station bypass service is now operational at two Mississippi weigh stations, provider HELP Inc., said.
HELP is a non-profit public/private partnership that produces PrePass and other truck safety and efficiency services,
The new locations are along I-55 approximately 20 mi. south of Memphis, TN. Both the northbound and southbound weigh stations are fully operational with PrePass’ safety pre-clearance service.
Mississippi opened its first PrePass-equipped weigh station in 1998 and now has 12 additional sites. Last year, trucks that were qualified to bypass PrePass sites saved more than 225,772 hours, representing $1,083,706 in fuel savings and $23,516,412 in operational cost savings, HELP said.

Nationally, PrePass bypass services are available at 306 operational weigh stations and inspection facilities in 31 states.
