Telematics provider PassTime launches fleet division

PassTime, a provider of telematics and automated collection technology solutions, has launched a new fleet division. The division, PassTime Fleet Finance and Telematics, will use Geotab’s fleet management technology as the foundation of its solution portfolio.

The division will be led by Peter Fowler, who successfully launched what turned into the market leading U.S. M2M business of Siemens. In addition, PassTime has brought on Harald Fritz, who was formerly at Web-Tech Wireless.

“PassTime has historically been focused on providing GPS tracking and automated collection technology solutions to the automotive lending industry. With our expertise in providing technology to the automotive finance industry, reliability and customer service, expanding in to the fleet space is a natural progression for the company. We brought the right people in place, partnered with an industry leader Geotab, and this is the perfect opportunity to provide a new offering to the fleet industry,” said Stan Schwarz, founder and CEO of PassTime.

Geotab provides the GPS fleet management solutions.

“We reviewed the fleet telematics market in great detail and determined Geotab has the best of breed plug and play hardware, unparalleled vehicle data capture and fleet management system.  With PassTime’s twenty-year experience, delivering reliable GPS tracking products and unmatched live customer care throughout the U.S., Canada and UK, matched with Geotab’s superior fleet solutions; it is a perfect fit,” said Fowler.

PassTime Fleet will offer comprehensive hardware and software solutions designed for any size fleet, including fleet and vehicle tracking, driver safety, productivity and performance solutions.
