Xata names general counsel

Xata Corp. has named Bruce McPheeters general counsel. McPheeters joins Xata from Lawson Software, where he was general counsel, corporate secretary and senior vice president.

“Bruce’s expertise in the legal and technology fields is highly valued,” said Jay Coughlan, chairman & CEO, Xata. “He is an incredibly strong addition to Xata’s executive team as we continue to deliver industry-leading mobile compliance and fleet management software solutions to our customers.”

Prior to working with Lawson Software, McPheeters worked in private practice, focusing on software, securities, and mergers and acquisitions.
