BorgSolutions has introduced a fleet maintenance management solution they say was developed to help dealers and suppliers to provide more comprehensive services to fleet customers. Built into the company’s current Borg Fleet fleet maintenance management system, the Borg Fleet Linked Edition allows dealers and service providers to communicate directly with customers, as well automate parts and service requests and all aspects of invoicing and financial tracking. It can also support direct marketing of products and services targeted to a fleet’s specific needs.

The software-as-a-service Linked Edition offers proprietary technology that can support predictive maintenance, streamlined work orders, fuel and inventory management, resource allocation, repair scenarios and scheduling through real-time data collection and analytics, according to the company. It can also serve as a real-time, direct connection between a preferred dealer/service provider and a fleet manager.

“With the Borg Fleet Linked Edition, a fleet maintenance manager can order a part or service online, directly from preferred dealers and suppliers on our system,’ said Michelle Borg, COO for the company. “Dealers and suppliers can also promote parts or services to the customers, based upon the actual vehicles in the fleet and the services coming due. For example, if a truck has turned 30,000 miles and is due for an oil chance, a dealer on the system can tell the fleet owner if they have the parts they need on hand or automatically create a purchase order for the parts and a work order for the service.

“Our system is truly proactive,” said Borg. “It can see what is coming up at the fleet and initiate the appropriate action. One of my favorite functions is the ability for fleets to track the status of the work they requested. If a preferred dealer is tracking a repair on our system, the fleet can, too.”

The cost for the new, subscription-based solution is $300 per month per user with no usage limit. According to Borg, deployment of the system is “extremely rapid” and can be done in a matter of hours. “We do provide training on site or via Webinars,” Borg said. “It only takes about four hours to be ready to use the system. We’ve made it very simple.”

Designed for the global marketplace, Borg Fleet Linked Edition is available in seven languages, including Chinese, Dutch, Spanish, French, Italian, German and English with more languages to follow, and it can be linked to accounting, fleet dispatch, and other fleet management solutions. “We like to call it an ‘ecosystem,’” said Borg. “It automates various functions to let dealers and suppliers provide great extra service, without have to work very hard to do it.”
