TeleNav, Inc. has announced AT&T will add the TeleNav Vehicle Tracker, the “black box” GPS tracking and management solution TeleNav introduced in February, to its portfolio of enterprise mobility services.

Fleets operating Class 1-6 vehicles are the initial target market for the new offering, according to Harold Allen, sr. industry marketing manager for AT&T. “We plan to market this solution to all types of fleets in all industries,” he told FleetOwner. “We see it as an end-to-end mobility solution for a wide range of operations, from service fleets to couriers. It reduces complexity for users to have this capability as another aspect of their service from AT&T.”

“Even if you don’t have a big IT department, you can still take advantage of this technology,” said Igor Glubochansky, director of industry solutions for AT&T. “Now the entry bar is set lower, so that smaller fleets can also have access to capabilities such as exception alerts; geofencing; and historical ‘breadcrumb’ and mileage reports. It provides businesses with the ability to actively manage their vehicles, enhance workforce utilization and provide better service. It is also backed up by mobile applications consulting and deployment support with a single point of contact, for faster time-to-value for AT&T customers.”

“We have had a very close relationship with AT&T for some time,” said Keith Halasy, senior marketing manager, business to business products for TeleNav. “We believe this offering goes directly to the ‘operational pain points’ some fleets have and provides an affordable, easy to implement solution.”According to Halasy, the system takes 45 minutes to an hour to install and service teams can do installs on-site for fleets.

The service is available now on AT&T’s wireless network. For more information, go to: www.telenavtrack.com/tnt/products/tnt/vehicle-tracker.html or call 888-353-6282.
