Thanks to a new long-term licensing agreement signed between International Truck and Engine Corp., the principal operating subsidiary of Navistar International Corp., and Decisiv, Inc., a provider of web-based technology, the truck OEM said it will offer both its dealers and fleet customers an integrated truck service-management solution.

Decisiv will license its technology to Navistar which will take control of and integrate its existing Diamond Estimating System and Service Partner software platforms “to work seamlessly with the OEM’s industry leading service and parts applications,” said the companies. According to Navistar, the Internet-based service-management apps provide a consistent process for more informed and timely decisions critical to maintaining commercial vehicles.

“Customers want to know they’ll get the same treatment throughout the International dealer network.” said Jim Hebe, Navistar senior vp, North American sales operations. “Through our advanced technology systems, we’re continuously looking for ways to be more efficient in our service operations and give our customers the information they need to run their trucks at the lowest cost per mile possible.”

Navistar apps that will interface with Diamond Estimating and Service Partner include ISIS, a Windows-based program that provides dealer and fleet technicians with easy access to all service-related information. In addition, the platforms will be fully integrated with Navistar’s Fleet Charge program that guarantees fleets consistent national parts pricing on International and International All Makes parts at nearly 1,000 North American International dealers.

“Our decision to enter into a long term agreement with Decisiv is a reflection of our desire to offer Navistar's International commercial truck dealers and fleet customers with a more seamless service management solution,” said Brian Mulshine, manager, Service Development at Navistar. “The integrated version of Diamond Estimating and Service Partner will provide a consistent and comprehensive dealer-to- customer writeup process. Diamond Estimating and Service Partner remain fundamental components of our customer satisfaction efforts.”

“We are pleased to take this next step in our long relationship with International so they can adapt the Decisiv Service Management Platform to their specific needs,” said Dick Hyatt, president of Decisiv. “This expanded agreement demonstrates Navistar’s commitment to its customers and Decisiv’s commitment to meet the evolving needs of its OEM partners.”
