The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, as of Sept. 18, has reinstated the KSK ELD, which the agency removed from its list of registered electronic logging devices last week. FMCSA also removed the Falcon ELD from the list last week, which remains revoked.
The ELD from KSK Group can once again be used to record hours of service data, according to an email from FMCSA. The device was previously revoked for not meeting the requirements for ELDs outlined by the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations. ELD providers self-certify, but if their devices are later found to not be compliant, FMCSA removes them from the list. Once removed, providers can have their ELDs reinstated if they correct all deficiencies to make the device compliant with regulations.
