INDIANAPOLIS—Stellantis’ new North American commercial vehicle business division unites all the OEM’s work truck and van equipment offerings and solutions under one name and goal: Capturing Ford Pro’s massive market share.
With a renewed focus on fleets, capital, and grand production plans, the startup is about ready to begin building its Class 4 chassis cabs, designed for upfitters to adapt seamlessly from ICE to EV body building.
The OEM’s second all-electric truck is in production in Virginia. Early-adopting fleet customers in California and Michigan are integrating the Class 6 and Class 7 BEV into operations that include LTL and pickup and delivery.
