SelecTrucks, the used truck brand for Daimler Trucks North America, has launched its new website, selectrucks.com, featuring a robust search function, finance calculators, an enhanced content management system and visual product depictions to assist non-English speaking customers.

The website was developed to offer industry-leading user experience functions as well as being optimized for use via desktop, tablet or smartphone, the company says. Customers can now search and view current inventory for the entire retail network, which is updated daily.

The search functions are designed to let the user search the current inventory of a specific dealership or specific geographic area. The search results display images of each vehicle, along with detailed specs, to enrich and simplify the selection process.

“Providing customers with an easy user experience when researching their next truck was our highest priority during the development of this new website,” said Bryan Howard, director of SelecTrucks sales and distribution for Daimler Trucks North America. “The needs of our customers are the focus of the new site and we know it will make the selection process a more enjoyable experience.”

The new site was designed for users both looking to determine the best truck to meet their needs and budget, as well as those looking to make an immediate purchase. SelecTrucks.com also includes finance calculators to help estimate monthly payments and purchasing power.

SelecTrucks also has announced a new, exclusive warranty that will cover the After-Treatment System (ATS) on both Detroit and Cummins engines. The warranty is available on used Freightliner and Western Star trucks. Covered repairs can be completed at any Freightliner or Western Star authorized service center in the United States and Canada.

The new ATS warranty covers major system components including the Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC), the Selective Catalyst Reduction (SCR), and both the Doser Injector and the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) Injector. In addition, the coverage includes Temperature and Pressure Sensors. A key feature included in this warranty is coverage for the failure of the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) which could potentially cost customers up to $2,500. The cost to replace an entire ATS, without this warranty, could easily exceed $10,000.

“Due to the ever increasing cost and complexity of Exhaust After-Treatment Systems required to meet EPA emissions standards, drivers want to feel more assured that their investment is protected,” Howard said. “The best way to give them peace of mind is to offer the coverage they need, and we’ve done just that with our new ATS warranty.”
