LinkAmerica moving its headquarters to Fort Worth

Feb. 10, 2012

Tulsa-based LinkAmerica, announced plans to relocate its headquarters to Fort Worth, TX’s CentrePort business park by March. The new headquarters will house the senior executive staff and a center to train about 40 drivers a week, according to a report in the Star-Telegram.

The 850-truck fleet will be headquartered in 24,000 sq. ft. at 4400 Amon Carter Blvd., across the street from American Airlines headquarters. CentrePort is just south of the Dallas/Fort Worth Airport.

The company expects to spend about $165,000 remodeling the building, according to a Fort Worth City Council memo. One of LinkAmerica’s largest terminals is already located in the Fort Worth area.

To meet the company’s long-term growth plan, LinkAmerica CEO John Simone said he wanted to be close to the airport as well as have immediate access to major Interstates.

“The Dallas-Fort Worth area is one of the largest logistics hubs in the nation, and LinkAmerica must have a presence in this market in order to enhance our position in the industry,” Simone said.

“A presence in the market also provides access to people with skill sets in the transportation and logistics industry,” he said.

LinkAmerica operates primarily in the south-central and southeastern U.S. It was acquired last year by private equity investor Tenex Capital Management.

The company’s Tulsa office will continue to house its logistics team and facilitate back-office support functions, according to the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce.
