Tim Haynes is vice president of digital and customer data at Penske Transportation Solutions. In this capacity, his areas of oversight include connected data, customer data, and data science and analytics. Before assuming his current role at Penske, Haynes was vice president of interactive marketing. He was also director of interactive marketing, director e-business, manager e-business and internet product manager. Haynes served as a senior project manager for AMP Incorporated; account manager at Reed Technology and Information Services; a financial analyst for Intelligent Electronics; an inventory planner and marketing analyst for Epson America; and a corporate buyer at McMaster-Carr Supply. He gained his professional start as a programmer analyst for Planning Research Corporation. A certified six sigma black belt, he earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial distribution from Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York, and an MBA from Kutztown University in Kutztown, Pennsylvania.
Samantha “Sam” Thompson is vice president, customer success and fleet telematics for Penske Transportation Solutions. Thompson leads several teams dedicated to aiding customers with the adoption and use of transportation technology, which includes the Penske digital experience. Before assuming her current position, Thompson held roles with Penske as director, customer success; manager, fleet telematics and customer success; and marketing support specialist. She was also a rental clerk in the company’s reservations call center. Prior to joining Penske in 2012, she held various positions as a designer, artist and instructor. Thompson earned a bachelor’s degree in visual effects and motion graphics from the Art Institute of Philadelphia. She was awarded certifications in service management and advance service leadership. Thompson holds memberships in the American Trucking Associations (ATA), National Private Truck Council (NPTC) and the Customer Success Association (CSA).
