Yijun “Henry” Peng to oversee Denso’s remanufacturing operations

Denso Products and Services Americas has named Yijun “Henry” Peng general manager of its remanufacturing operations in Murrieta and Long Beach, CA. In the newly created position, Peng is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Denso’s existing remanufacturing business, as well as its major expansion initiatives to meet growing market demand for top-quality reman products in the North America, according to the company.

Denso said its Murrieta plant specializes in the remanufacturing of starters, alternators and diesel products. In recent months, the facility has added a new supply pump product line and expanded its fuel injector performance bench test capabilities. According to the company, Peng was tapped for his expertise in all facets of remanufacturing – finance, operations and technology – to manage this increasingly significant segment of Denso’s aftermarket business.

“I am honored to join Denso at this exciting juncture,” said Peng, who will be responsible for all Denso’s remanufacturing operations. “I look forward to leading our teams to grow Denso’s aftermarket presence by expanding the supply and selection of superior reman products to customers throughout North America.”

According to the company, Peng joins Denso with nearly 15 years of experience in the automotive and financial industries. His expertise in remanufacturing includes aftermarket operations, business development, supply chain management, and strategic sourcing and planning. He previously worked for Cummins, where he started as a strategic sourcing manager responsible for procurement, contracts, supplier readiness, compliance and process improvement.

Before joining Cummins, Peng was a senior consultant at two of world’s leading financial services corporations, PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Deloitte, Denso said. At the latter, he performed audit and financial due diligence services for automotive and aviation customers.
