A new Global Positioning Systems (GPS) device patented by Worldwide Notification Systems Inc. (WNS) is being rolled out to eliminate the problems caused by unscheduled pick-ups and deliveries.
The automated system has the capacity to analyze daily arrival schedules and organize the best route, estimate times of delivery of trucksand aircraft, sequentially calls each recipient on the route to notify them of the driver’s estimated arrival time and automatically adjust the route if a recipient is unavailable.
WNS’s GPS technology at the core of its delivery notification system allows deliveries to be tracked from the time they leave the sender’s premises to the time they arrive at their destination, the company said.
