Mckinney Trailer Rentals, a regional provider of trailer rentals, leasing, and sales, has once again selected a SkyBitz trailer tracking system for its new fleet of trailers.

With the SkyBitz system, Mckinney will be positioned to provide improved asset allocation, total load visibility, and enhanced logistics and security to its customers. In the past year, Mckinney reassessed its trailer tracking needs due to two main factors: increase in its fleet size and a rise in customer demand for best-in-class trailer tracking systems. Ultimately, it selected SkyBitz to continue to be its trailer management systems provider for all 2013 trailer purchases.

Richard Swenson, Mckinney’s corporate operations manager, said, “As a trailer rental and leasing company, our customers have a wide variety of tracking requirements. SkyBitz offers all the services that our customers have requested, from simple location information for better utilization, to increased security and trailer status through geofencing, and tracking via motion sensors. Because the tracking units are simple to install, we are able to mount and remove the units as our customers require them. This gives us the ability to more cost-efficiently satisfy our customers’ needs.”

Headquartered in Pico Rivera CA, Mckinney provides equipment rentals and leases in the western United States and Texas. With 12 locations, the company offers a fleet of more than 19,000 refrigerated trailers, curtain vans, chassis, containers, storage trailers, flatbeds, and dry vans. SkyBitz, a wholly owned subsidiary of Telular Corporation (NASDAQ: WRLS), supplies global remote asset management systems, as well as real-time information on location and status of assets. Access www.skybitz.com for additional information.
