Supply chain management company DSC Logistics has announced the expansion of its US network with the construction of the Food/CPG Retail Consolidation Logistics Center in the new logistics park in Moreno Valley CA.
Supply chain management company DSC Logistics has announced the expansion of its US network with the construction of the Food/CPG Retail Consolidation Logistics Center in the new logistics park in Moreno Valley CA. Kraft Foods Group will be the first customer in the building, scheduled for a late 2013 opening.
DSC’s newest Logistics Center, with advanced security, food safety, C-TPAT, and system capabilities, will provide Kraft and other customers with warehousing, services, and transportation to retailers. Customers will be able to take advantage of opportunistic consolidation opportunities and other established DSC consolidation programs such as the Multi-Vendor Optimization Strategy (MOST) developed for Wal-Mart.
DSC focuses on designing, integrating, managing, and adapting supply chain systems. Its capabilities as a Lead Logistics Partner (LLP) and third-party logistics provider (3PL) include supply chain analysis and design, network optimization and management, logistics center management, transportation management and consolidation, business process integration, and supply chain visibility.
