The release of LoadMaster X includes new functionality, including the ability for carriers to
visualize their traffic flow to accurately track orders, revenue and billed miles, according to developer McLeod Software.

The Inbound/Outbound Lane Analysis tool offers a summary chart and map to show freight lane revenue by origin and destination states or by configurable three-digit ZIP code ranges. Orders can be reviewed by number of orders, total revenue, billed miles, loaded miles and empty miles, the company said.

Also added is the Field Marshal, which helps customers adjust and structure their software to fit individual operations. Using the tool, system administrators can add custom fields to screens, change the behavior of existing fields, add new tab sets to screens and change the tab-sequencing of fields on the screen. McLeod said it has been designed so the custom fields will migrate to new versions as updated releases are offered.

A number of other enhancements have been added, including Comprehensive Auxiliary Equipment Item Tracking to facilitate automatic assignment of required auxiliary equipment to order records based on customer, location, commodity or order type requirements. There is also a new Data Import tool to allow the input of data from Excel spreadsheets; the integration of McLeod’s Rapid Alert Notification System with its Report Scheduler system to improve communication by delivering reports to users for instant viewing; and visual, coded reminders of a driver’s experience with the company can now be viewed in the Order Planning and Driver Manager screens to help dispatchers assign the orders to drivers based on their specific level of experience.

“Equipping our customers to outperform the competition in an intensely competitive marketplace is our goal with every new version we develop,” said Tom McLeod, president & CEO. “Our carrier customers must deliver outstanding customer service every day, yet continually cut costs and minimize obstacles to efficiency. That’s tough any time, but it’s a necessity now more than ever.”
