Building firm chooses FleetWave management solution

Feb. 19, 2013

Burns & McDonnell, an engineering, architecture, construction and consulting firm, has selected the FleetWave software solution from Chevin Fleet Solutions to manage its national fleet.

Burns & McDonnell will be replacing its internally designed databases, non-integrated spreadsheets and manual processes with the web-based and fully integrated enterprise fleet management solution in the second quarter.

Once implemented, FleetWave will provide enhanced visibility over a host of fleet management issues such as fuel spend, maintenance scheduling and fleet utilization, while also providing robust pool management capabilities allowing drivers to request and use vehicles in the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible, Chevin said.

FleetWave will streamline driver assignments and the associated charge-out rates – as well as the specific projects engineers are currently working on so that appropriate usage charges can be aggregated and automatically passed to the organization’s Oracle project management and billing systems.

The FleetWave system will also interface with selected National Account service providers and Comdata’s procurement card to automatically import all maintenance data and fuel spend.

“After researching several fleet management software providers it was clear FleetWave offered the best business fit for our unique needs. Once fully implemented, this system will offer unparalleled functionality and help our organization to operate in a far more efficient and cost-effective manner,” said Chad Mallory, fleet supervisor at Burns & McDonnell.
