App connects customers and their shipments

July 24, 2013

A new mobile app from OD Household Services gives moving customers a way to easily track their shipments and connect with the company.

With the new app, “ODMove,” which is available for the iPhone and iPad, customers can log into their online accounts, inquire about moving estimates, track movements and read moving advice.

An identical Android version of the app launched earlier this year.

OD Household Services was launched in January 2012 by Old Dominion Freight Line. By using the service, consumers only pay for the truck space they use.

“Our goal in creating this app is to replicate the ease and simplicity of our regular website. Customers can book moves, trace their items and find out tips and tricks that will be helpful during the moving process,” said Chris Young, vice president, OD-technology. “Moving is stressful, but worrying about finding information or tracking a shipment shouldn’t be. Like OD Household Services, we know this app will help ease some of the apprehension associated with moving.”
