Celadon upgrades FleetWire mobile app

Aug. 10, 2016
New features aim to improve “driver experience” carrier says.

Celadon Group Inc. is rolling out several new features for its FleetWire mobile app, designed to create in its words a “better experience” for all of its truck drivers, even ones in separate divisions.

Steve Edmonds, vice president of information technology at Celadon, noted that the new FleetWire features will allow drivers from every company in the Celadon group to scan and store documents via the camera on their mobile device, accept or reject new loads within the application, and provide for direct two-way messaging with driver managers.

“We’re always striving to find ways to make life easier for our drivers on the road,” he said in a statement. “These new enhancements to the FleetWire mobile app platform offer our drivers the convenience of accepting or rejecting loads as well as direct messaging with their driver managers in this all-in-one phone app.”

Celadon partnered with Pegasus TransTech to originally introduce the FleetWire app in the fall of 2015 and is now making that app available to drivers in its Jaguar fleet, which serves Mexico.

“Looking ahead, we will continue to make incremental improvements to our FleetWire mobile application,” added Matt Douglass, Celadon’s vice president of operations. “Our plans are to introduce these enhancements on a regular basis in an effort to make FleetWire even more of a resource to our drivers.”
