MyFleetDept.com has reached agreement with DBT USA, a subsidiary of DBT, to provide electric vehicle charging stations in the U.S.

DBT has deployed more than 6,000 such units in more than 20 countries and has recently opened a U.S. facility in Chicago. MyFleetDept.com will offer DBT’s full line of Class I, II, and III charging stations along with project management, installation, and maintenance services.

“We are now positioned to be a leader in EV charging solutions by providing high quality, proven products with the latest technology,” said Mike Moser, president and founder of MyFleetDept.com. “By partnering with DBT USA we now offer a full spectrum of EV charging from economical residential models to fast charge private/public stations which can be connected to the grid, accept credit card payments and fully charge an empty electric or plug-in hybrid battery in less than 30 minutes. Solar generation and power storage options are also available and are incorporated into each design based on vehicle use, budget, location and sustainability goals.”

MyFleetDept.com said it anticipates most of the initial units will be installed in public parking areas, schools, fleet facilities, and shopping centers.

“Standard charging stations aren’t very expensive so I also see smaller businesses like restaurants and specialty retail shops adopting them to attract customers while also contributing to the country’s oil dependency and air quality solutions,” said Moser. “Owners of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles will seek out businesses with charging capabilities and then stay a while.”
