Creating sustainability programs that really deliver benefits can be a challenge, even for fleets ready and willing to go green. Creating collaborative sustainability programs, when the shipper is initiating the action, can be tougher still.

To help fleets go the green distance and leverage the benefits for themselves and their customers, FleetOwner and Truckload Carriers Asscn. have teamed up to produce a new webcast called: The Multiplier Effect: Leveraging the Benefits of Going Green Inside and Outside Your Company.

The event is sponsored by BSM Wireless and participants may join it live on Tuesday, June 29 at 2:00 p.m. EDT.

The webcast will feature three guest speakers:Mark Zunti, fleet management director for Canadian National Railroad’s nearly 4,600 truck fleet and head of maintenance for its intermodal operation; Wayne Scott, sr. director of transport maintenance for grocery giant, Loblaw; and Jason Mathers, project manager, corporate partnerships for Environmental Defense Fund, which has been actively supporting fleet efforts to enhance fuel efficiency and reduce emissions.

The speakers will share information, examples and practical suggestions on:

  • Innovative sustainability programs that go far beyond the obvious to deliver bottom line results
  • The expanding role of supply chain “anchor” companies in driving and supporting sustainability initiatives that deliver benefits to everyone
  • How today’s new fleet environmental stewardship executives are changing the competitive transportation landscape for everyone and what that means for your future
  • Creating collaborative sustainability programs both inside and outside your company
