The KleerBlue DEF retail dispenser has received NTEP Certificate of Conformance for Weighing and Measuring Devices. The dispenser, meeting ISO 22241 standards, is designed and marketed by Separation By Design.

The company said the dispenser was developed specifically for the dispensing of DEF and includes a Total Control Systems 682-15 Stainless Steel Meter and ReelCraft reel and Triangle MicroSystem’s VVR-100 electronic computer.

DEF is needed by diesel engines running selective catalytic reduction technology to meet 2010 EPA emissions regulations to reduce NOx.

The unit will be used by Terra Environmental Technologies and Brenntag North America for the storing and handling of their DEF TerraCair product.

A pulse output for interfacing with dispensing control equipment and a 38 in. polyethylene triple walled, heated and insulated containment mini-bulk storage tank allows for “island-friendly” placement alongside existing fuel islands, the company said.
