    May 11, 2012

Brenntag North America, a distributor of diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), has named Bret Happel DEF business director. Happel will lead the company’s DEF business in both the U.S. and Canada, including oversight for more than 30 DEF rail terminals and 120 locations that distribute jugs, drums, totes, mini-bulk and full truckloads of DEF.

Happel brings more than 20 years of experience in the chemical distribution industry and most recently served as vice president of sales for Brenntag Mid-South.

“Bret’s broad spectrum of experience makes him an ideal choice to lead our rapidly growing DEF business,” said David Garner, vice president of operations. “Bret has exceeded growth objectives in every position he has held at Brenntag; I am confident in his new role that he will experience the same success.”
