Marangoni Tread North America has received notification that two of its Ringtread products have been SmartWay approved.
The company’s Energeco RDA-E for drive tires and the RTA-E for trailers are both approved for use as verified fuel-saving technologies.
The RTA-E has a tread depth of 12/32 in. and was given Smartway verification in November 2012. The RDA-E has a 25/32 in. tread depth and was approved this month.
“Marangoni is committed to supporting the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Smartway program to promote fuel efficiency and will continue to submit treads for approval,” said Giampaolo Brioschi, MTNA product marketing manager.
The Energeco product line combines Marangoni’s splice-less, precure Ringtread technology with innovative compounding and advanced tread design engineering for low rolling resistance, high mileage and improved reliability, the company said.
