The American Trucking Assns. (ATA) has signed on as an event partner of NGVAmerica’s 2013 North American NGV Conference & Expo. The event will take place Nov. 18-21, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.

Themed Natural Gas: Transportation Fuel for a Better Bottom Line, the event is focused solely on the NGV market and includes three days of plenary and breakout sessions, a 75,000 sq. ft. exposition, a ride-and-drive event, pre-conference site tours, presentation of the annual NGV Achievement Awards, receptions and other networking functions, and a variety of related industry meetings.

As an event partner, ATA is providing input to NGVAmerica concerning program content, promoting the event to its membership and participating on the program, including a keynote address by ATA President and CEO Bill Graves during the opening plenary session Tuesday, Nov. 19.

“We’re very pleased to have ATA on board as an event partner,” said NGVAmerica President Richard Kolodziej. “Powering America’s truck fleets with abundant domestically produced natural gas will improve truckers’ bottom line, lessen our dependence on foreign oil and energize America’s economy. A number of progressive truck fleets are already transitioning their fleets to run on natural gas. We look forward to working with ATA to increase their members’ awareness of this option and to reduce regulatory barriers to wider adoption.”

“There has been a great deal of interest in how America’s trucking industry can best utilize natural gas,” Graves said. “By partnering with NGVAmerica, ATA hopes to foster continued dialogue on this exciting, and potentially revolutionary fuel can benefit fleets and the environment.”
