MHC Truck Leasing to deliver CNG trucks with Cummins ISX 12G

Oct. 30, 2013

MHC Truck Leasing is delivering 10 new natural gas trucks (CNG) with the Cummins ISX 12G engine to Valley Proteins, a company that renders and recycles animal byproduct into renewable resources.

MHC said the Kenworth T800 day cabs will reduce diesel usage by 163,500 gals. annually for the fleet, and cut greenhouse gas emissions by 468.6 metric tons annually.

“We’ve been very interested in natural gas equipment for some time now,” said Richard Evans, Valley Proteins director of transportation. “There are a lot of unknown variables when switching to this technology. This partnership enabled us to explore our options in a low-risk environment. MHC Truck Leasing had the best solution to provide the trucks we were looking for, and with their knowledge and capabilities, they have ensured us that they will be able to help us run our business optimally.”

MHC Truck Leasing manages over 4,000 trucks for a range of businesses and provides service in 11 states as well as access to PacLease’s network of more than 500 leasing locations.

“The natural gas sector is something we continue to focus on, as more of our customers are interested in learning about this technology to determine if it fits their needs,” said Todd Harrington, vice president of business development for MHC Truck Leasing. “Our customers also receive the benefit of MHC’s stringent maintenance practices designed for natural gas operations. We continue to be an industry leader in our portfolio of products we offer.”
