Dart Transit Co. has partnered with U.S. Oil on construction of a Gain compressed natural gas station for the trucking company. It is the second station U.S. Oil will build and operate for Dart.
The new station will be located in Fort Wayne, IN, and compressed natural gas (CNG) to Dart’s fleet as well as other trucking companies and the general public.
“We’ve developed a great relationship with Dart on the first GAIN station built for the company in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota,” said Bill Renz, Gain general manager. “This new station will continue to broaden Dart’s ability to use its CNG fleet to haul long distances. It also fits perfectly into U.S. Oil’s goal of building a network of GAIN stations throughout the United States.”
With the addition of the Fort Wayne location, U.S. Oil will have 13 Gain stations located throughout the Midwest.
“There is a growing trend in the trucking industry to convert from using diesel fuel to the more economical and environmentally friendlier CNG alternative,” Renz explained. “Our goal is to help those companies by partnering with them to build GAIN stations in locations that make sense for their hauling routes.”
