CNGas, which specializes in retail CNG fueling stations and bi-fuel vehicle conversions, and Nopetro, a natural gas fueling infrastructure provider, have signed an agreement to open a public compressed natural gas fueling station in Miami-Dade County in Florida.
The 30,000-sq.-ft. fast-fill facility can support the fueling needs of up to four vehicles at a time, the company said. Nopetro will support CNGas by contributing its CNG fuel marketing and operational expertise and strategies to help grow third-party sales at the stations. CNGas will provide bi-fuel and hybrid CNG vehicle conversions to existing commercial fleets for both companies.
“We are extremely proud to bring this first-of-its-kind facility to Miami-Dade,” said CNGas COO Humberto Puppo. “I have no doubt that this station will be a key step towards furthering the volume of CNG vehicles in our county.”
“While both of our companies are industry innovators,” added Jorge Herrera, CEO of Nopetro, “the clientele each company is pursuing complements each other since Nopetro is looking at large commercial fleets while CNGas’s market is small to medium-sized commercial vehicles.”
