EVO CNG, Trillium start work on new CNG station for Central Freight Lines

April 7, 2014

A joint venture of EVO CNG and Trillium CNG has started construction on a new compressed natural (CNG) fueling station for Central Freight Lines. The station, expected to open this spring, will serve the Central fleet terminal in Fort Worth, TX.

The station will have public access and be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It will have four dual hose dispensers and will feature Trillium CNG’s proprietary fast-fill technology. The station has been designed to accommodate Class 8 tractors and trailers, as well as smaller vehicles.

“EVO CNG is extremely excited about the opportunity to work with Central Freight Lines in its effort to become a clean fleet,” said Danny Cuzick, president. “We recognize its pioneering efforts in the field of alternative fuels and look forward to working with both Trillium and Central Freight Lines in their clean fuel endeavors.”

“This is our third CNG fueling facility constructed within Texas,” said Don Orr, president and CEO of Central Freight Lines. “Our future plans are to expand our current 114 CNG vehicle fleet and support the operations with additional, strategically located fueling stations. Improving our transportation efficiencies is something our customers expect from us. Incorporating abundant, clean-burning, domestically produced natural gas, CNG vehicles in our fleet, will help us improve efficiencies, operate more economically, reduce pollution and support our local economy. With the addition of this Fort Worth site, EVO CNG, is joining with Central Freight Lines in creating the critical infrastructure required to meet our clean fleet initiative.”
