U.S. Oil  is building three Gain Clean Fuel compressed natural gas (CNG) stations to be used by Wisconsin-based carrier Time Transport.

One Gain station located south of Milwaukee along I-94 in Sturtevant, WI, opened on April 7. The other two will be located in the Chicago area - one near Channahon at I-80/I-55 and one in Hodgkins, IL at I-294/I-55.

“Our sustainability efforts are a large part of our company’s strategic planning,” said Mike Buchmeier, vice president of Time Transport. “There is currently a gaping hole in the CNG infrastructure for heavy duty trucks in Chicago, the 3rd largest city in the U.S. This partnership will allow us to reduce emissions while maintaining our operational network as we transition from diesel to 100% natural gas. We look forward to the stations becoming operational.”

U.S. Oil said Time has committed to purchasing 1 million gals. of Gain CNG per year under the partnership. The stations will provide fast-fill capabilities and be open for public use. The stations also have fleet card acceptance capabilities.

“This is a great win-win partnership,” said Bill Renz, general manager for Gain Clean Fuel. “We’re able to provide anchor CNG facilities to Time Transport and help them achieve their green initiatives.”

Time Transport’s fleet consists of more than 50 trucks and dry-van trailers, hauling freight of all kinds, predominantly along the Milwaukee/Chicago corridor.
