Average retail pump prices in the U.S. for diesel and gasoline have continued to climb across the board this week, according to data tracked by the Energy Information Administration (EIA).

Diesel prices increased in every region of the country, with the West Coast and California seeing the greatest increases according to EIA. Four areas saw prices above the $3-per-gallon mark:

The national average for gasoline increased nearly 9 cents to $2.570 per gallon this week, the agency noted, which is $1.143 per gallon cheaper compared to the same week in 2014.

Similar to diesel prices, gasoline prices saw regional increases across the board. The most dramatic regional increase was just over 21 cents on the West Coast – $3.182 this week compared to last week’s $2.968.
