WEX extends agreement with BP to add fueling stations

WEX has signed an agreement with BP to accept WEX fleet card payments across 200 BP-supplied ARCO locations in Washington and Oregon.

WEX announced it has signed an agreement with BP to accept WEX fleet card payments across 200 BP-supplied ARCO locations in Washington and Oregon. Last July, 146 BP-supplied ARCO stations in Washington began utilizing WEX’s fuel card solutions, according to WEX. The remaining BP ARCO sites across Oregon will have full acceptance of the WEX fuel card by early 2016. Through this agreement, WEX fleet customers fueling in the Pacific Northwest will gain access to BP ARCO’s fueling stations while obtaining WEX’s pin number security tracking, real-time purchasing visibility and reports, online card management tools, and purchase controls and alerts. These payment solutions are designed to provide customers with tighter controls that reduce card abuse, identify savings opportunities, and allow fleet customers to optimize business decisions, WEX said.“We are dedicated to helping our customers streamline their payments, and this relationship with BP ARCO will help us extend that to customers fueling in the Pacific Northwest region,” said Brian Fournier, vice president, merchant and channel partner. “WEX has one of the largest proprietary fuel networks in the country with acceptance at more than 90 percent of service stations, and this agreement will provide local customers with increased convenience and security.”“WEX’s credit and fuel card acceptance will improve the fueling experience in Washington and Oregon, and it will provide regional fleet managers with additional tools and insights to make better business decisions,” said Donna Sanker, head of BP’s West Coast retail business.
