Diesel drops 1.3 cents

Average U.S. diesel prices are down 1.3 cents this week to $2.485 from last week’s $2.498.
Average U.S. diesel prices are down 1.3 cents this week to $2.485 from last week’s $2.498.According to the most recent data from the Energy Information Administration (EIA), this week’s price is $1.138-per-gallon cheaper than the same week last year. Diesel is down across the board in all regions – with the exception of California, which saw a 4 tenths of a cent increase to $2.817 from last week’s $2.813. Average U.S. retail pump prices for gasoline are down slightly by 4 tenths of a cent per gallon to $2.224 from $2.228. That is 76.9-cents-per-gallon less than the same week last year. Similar to diesel, gas prices are mostly down across the board – with the exception of the Midwest, which is up 4 cents to $2.268 from $2.228.According to EIA’s petroleum report, the combination of significant U.S. propane production has increased over the past seven years and slow domestic growth has reversed historical trade positions. “The United States has gone from being a net propane importer to a net exporter, facilitated by rapid expansion in export capacity of domestic supply,” EIA states. “Propane exports from the United States are changing traditional propane market patterns across the globe.”
