QuikQ, a provider of a cardless direct fuel connection between truck stop point-of-sale (POS) and motor carrier enterprise systems, announced that Tamara Wilson has joined the company as director of operations.
“Tamara Wilson’s background is a perfect fit for QuikQ as we continue to move forward with the next stages of development of our FPS Fuel Purchase System and other related solutions,” said Ernie Betancourt, president of QuikQ. “Her IT, operations, software and management experience will be a great benefit to QuikQ and its growing customer base.”
At QuikQ, Wilson is managing day-to-day activities and has additional responsibilities in business and product development, business analysis and quality assurance. According to the company, in various trucking industry executive positions since 1981, she most recently served at MPH Transportation in Fremont, MI, as vice president of operations. Previously, Wilson was CIO/vice president and vice president IT at Gainey Transportation in Grand Rapids, MI; Director of IT at SLH Transportation in Kingston, Ontario, and National Account Manager at Innovative Computing Corp.
“Managing fuel purchasing is a challenge for the trucking industry as it addresses tight margins, fuel costs and the introduction of new fuels,” Wilson said. “QuikQ is a forward thinking company that offers a new, more secure and universal way for carriers to streamline and control fuel purchases by creating a direct relationship with providers regardless of what the future holds.”
