Silver Eagle Manufacturing’s mid-length side skirt has become the company’s first EPA SmartWay certified product. The skirt has been verified as a SmartWay Aerodynamic Product that offers fuel savings to long-haul trucks.

The side skirts, which offer a dual-walled design, mount to the underside of the trailer. The product is also compliant with California Air Resources Board legislation requiring 53-ft. 2011-model year trailers to have aerodynamic devices installed, according to Silver Eagle.

“We are thrilled to have our first SmartWay Certification,” said Jay Wilson, president & CEO. “This is the first in a large offering of innovative aerodynamic products we will be launching throughout the remainder of 2009 and 2010 to help long-haul truckers save on fuel costs and gain a quick return on investment.”
