• Vorad gets TRW radar sensors

    Long-range radar sensors from TRW's Autocruise unit will now be available for use with Eaton's Vorad Collision Warning Systems. Eaton has signed an agreement to purchase the most recent Autocruise 76/77 GHz generation radar sensors for its heavy-truck collision warning and adaptive cruise control systems. According to Eaton, the forward-facing radar is smaller and lighter, and provides more flexibility

    Long-range radar sensors from TRW's Autocruise unit will now be available for use with Eaton's Vorad Collision Warning Systems. Eaton has signed an agreement to purchase the most recent Autocruise 76/77 GHz generation radar sensors for its heavy-truck collision warning and adaptive cruise control systems.

    According to Eaton, the forward-facing radar is smaller and lighter, and provides more flexibility at installation. The new sensor will be sold under the Vorad and SmartCruise brands.
