Paccar Parts dealers are now offering the Engine Control Systems Purifilter, an aftermarket passively regenerating diesel particulate filter (DPF) approved by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) and distributed exclusively through U.S. and Canadian Kenworth and Peterbilt dealers.

Approved for use with 1993 through 2006 model-year, heavy-duty trucks from several manufacturers, the Purifilter DPF features superior regeneration, performance and durability, Paccar Parts says. It also received conditional verification from CARB for use with some 1996 to 2008 off-road diesel engines. According to Paccar Parts, each model is available in five different inlet/outlet configurations.
