Carrier Transicold is offering new extended warranty coverage for transport refrigeration system sensors. Dubbed RoadCare, the new program also provides protection against potential refrigerant leaks.

Along with a new overtime and call-out coverage (OTCC) program for emergency repairs, RoadCare offers a sensor coverage option that covers replacement costs for all factory-installed return, supply and ambient air sensors, and labor charges to remove and reinstall the bulkhead when required, according to Joe Hock, Carrier's national service manager.

The refrigerant leak option covers loss of refrigerant and refrigerant oil and progressive damage to other components for any refrigerant leaks associated with covered major components, joints, hard piping, vibrasorbers and more, he added.

“The sensor and refrigerant leak options are industry ‘firsts’ and reflect our confidence in the quality of sensors and overall system integrity,” said Hock. “OTCC coverage provides added assurance against unexpected events and the high costs associated with after-hours emergency repairs. All three options are attractively priced and responsive to customer requests.”
