Lowen Corp. recently announced the grand opening of a new graphics installation training and certification center. The facility will offer the company’s new “Lowen Certified” program, developed to provide professional graphics installers a portable, industry- recognized certification status, including a place in the Lowen installation network, which provides opportunities to bid on large graphics installation projects.

According to Lowen, the new center also doubles as a 3M Graphics Authorized Testing Center to give students the opportunity to test for both Lowen and 3M certifications at the same time. Lowen’s state-of-the-art testing center is now one of two 3M Graphics Authorized Testing Centers in the U.S. The other center is located on 3M’s own corporate campus in St. Paul, MN.

“Lowen Certified is the most demanding testing program in the vehicle wrap market today,” said Sergio DeSoto, Lowen vp of sales and marketing-- wraps & media. “Each installer can select from any of our four designations: Vehicle Wraps, Fleet, Rough Wall and On Premise signage installation.”

Passing all four skill sets earns installers the designation of “Lowen Expert Installer.” Other benefits for Lowen Certified installers include: discounts for products and services offered by Lowen, discounts for Mac Tools and discounts for other installation tools and supplies. Lowen does not require installers to purchase any products or services in return for Lowen Certified status, according to the company.

Lowen also recently produced the first annual Lowen Certified Wrap-Off in conjunction with the International Sign Association’s Sign Expo in Las Vegas. The wrap-off, which was held throughout the three-day show, gave show attendees the opportunity to watch 48 professional vehicle wrap installers compete. Prizes included a fully-equipped Ford F-250 truck for the first place winner and a $5,000 cash prize and fees waived for Lowen Certification for the 2nd place winner.
