Kelly Tires has introduced a new drive tire designed for pickup and delivery applications in local city routes.

Available in 225 and 245/70R19.5 sizes, the Kelly KTD features an open shoulder with a “beefy” traction block tread design with 400 molded-in sipes for enhanced traction, Kelly said. To combat curbing and scrubbing, the tire utilizes a tough rubber compound that resists chunking, chipping and cracking, the company said.

More even wear is obtained through a tread radius that evenly distributes pressure, according to Kelly.

“It’s built tough with a great tread design and compounding to help withstand the daily bumps and bruises the tire encounters during in-city driving,” Andrea Berryman, marketing manager, said. “Plus, the Kelly KTD offers buttressed sidewalls to help extend casing life.”
